Network State
An internet-native community coordinating capital, culture, and governance online, with potential physical territory.
Self Sovereignty
Individual control over identity, assets, and affiliations without centralized intermediaries.
Charter City
Special economic zone with autonomous governance.
Virtual Nation
An online-first society with digital citizenship and governance, without fixed territory.
Jurisdiction
A territory or sphere of authority with distinct legal/governance rules.
Frontier Jurisdiction
An emerging territory operating outside established governance models, where the rules are still being written.
Special Economic Zone (SEZ)
A designated area where a country applies different business, tax, or regulatory rules than the national norm.
Sovereignty
A state's recognized authority to govern its own territory without external control. Distinct from self sovereignty, which applies to individuals.
Microstate
A sovereign or aspiring state with a very small territory and population, such as Monaco or Liberland.
Digital Citizenship
Membership in a society granted and administered online, independent of physical residence.
Bluechip Project
A credible, established emerging society with operational traction and long-term viability.
Capital Deployment
Strategic allocation of funds into societal experiments aligned with a defined investment thesis.
Investment Thesis
A structured rationale defining why a category of emerging societies presents long-term opportunity.
Due Diligence
The process of investigating and verifying a project's claims before investing.
DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)
A member-owned organization governed by code and voting, without traditional management.
Token
A digital asset representing value, access, or ownership, issued and traded on a blockchain.
Bootstrapping
Building something from minimal resources, without outside funding or an established institution behind it.
Regenerative Economics
An economic model designed to restore the natural and social systems it draws on, rather than only extract from them.

Intentional Community
A deliberately formed group organized around shared values, mission, or lifestyle.
Metacrisis
The interlocking set of global crises (ecological, political, economic, social) understood as symptoms of one underlying failure in how societies coordinate.
Techno-Optimism

Coliving

Software delivered over the internet on a subscription, rather than installed and owned locally.

A product built on top of someone else's AI model with little original technology of its own.
